The previous league match of Vistal – against KGHM Metraco Zaglebie Lubin – was announced as the confrontation of Gdynia team with the leader of the PGNiG Super League. The forthcoming clash of Pawel Tetelewski’s players with Pogon Baltica Szczecin can be advertised in exactly the same way.
The Vistal handball players themselves are to be “blamed” for such situation as their superb performance in the last match produced the change of the PGNiG Superleague leader. The Polish Championship runners-up from Lubin lost by nine goals and dropped to the fourth place, while the upcoming Gdynia rivals replaced them at the top position. Both Pogon Baltica and Vistal have the same number of points after five rounds of competition, and that includes four wins and one loss. Among the four teams which have managed to win eight points so far it is Szczecin’s team that has the best score balance. But if Vistal is victorious for the fifth time this season then there will be another change of the PGNiG Super League leader and Gdynia players may advance to that position. So powerful emotions are ahead of us!
