Handball fans cannot wait the beginning of the new season. Vistal supporters are in a lucky position because their team starts the PGNiG Superleague with a game at home. On Wednesday, 3 September, Gdynia players will face Energa AZS Koszalin in GDYNIA ARENA.

Gdynia – Koszalin competition stands almost for the league’s classic – the matches usually were fierce and exciting until the very last seconds of the game. Fans expect similar thrills in the first match of the new season, and new players in Koszalin team –  Beata Kowalczyk and Karolina Kalska – who are ex-Vistal  goalkeeper and winger will spice up the Wednesday battle.

In the previous season Vistal ended the PGNiG Superleague with the bronze medal,  having also won the Polish Cup for the first time in the club’s history. Gdynia players will begin the 2014/2015 season with a new coach – Pawel Tetelewski – who will supervise the youngest team in the league “led” by experienced Polish national teammates: goalkeeper Malgorzata Gapska, playmaker Iwona Niedzwiedz and pivot Patrycja Kulwinska.

Another interesting thing is that Vistal has no foreign players in their roster what hasn’t happened for the period of some seasons. Despite that the club’s officials are optimistic and promise to fight ambitiously for a top place in the league.
