Mobile 7D cinema, professional advice, shopping, yoga, dietician, lots of prizes, interesting lectures and presentations and numerous other attractions wait for the whole families on 28 and 29 June in GDYNIA ARENA. From 10:00 to 17:00 grandparents, parents and children will entertain themselves, learn and do shopping during I WILL BE MUM Expo, which is held jointly with GDYNIA TOT family event. Free admission.
Both kids and their parents and grandparents will have a chance to enjoy a lot of attractions and competitions with prizes. Life-saving procedures for infants and small children will be demonstrated and other features include Young Paramedic workshops, face painting, toddler’s races, a tutorial on wrapping baby slings, a kids fashion show presented by a highly valued Spanish brand of Mayoral, and Shantala massage. And of course an inflatable playground for jumping and sliding will be provided, along with balloons and eateries serving delicious snacks, candyfloss, ice cream, and waffles.
From 10:00 to 17:00 on Sunday there will be mobile cinema shows for children with 7D effects. Tickets will be sold for the shows but 20 free passes will be chosen by lot among the audience.
Both on Saturday and Sunday the visitors will have an opportunity to win attractive prizes either in competitions or by drawing lots. Prizes have been funded by sponsors and include: childbirth in a private, cosy Swissmed Maternity Ward, Ziaja cosmetic sets, authentic, beautiful toys from Muufa and Addicted to Crafts, a set for a mum and her baby from Zollababy, a family photo session from Fotomaluch.blogspot.com and Teresa Kwiatkowska Fotografia, a free entry to and a birthday party at the Bajkowo Education and Entertainment Centre for Children, and free tickets to an inflatable playground in the Family World Play and Education Centre.
On a stage inside the Arena the visitors will be entertained by the best Polish singing and dancing youth band LUZ. There will also be a fashion show, belly dancing for future mums, contests and presentations. The organisers invite toddlers and their dads, who want to compete for the Fastest Diaper Changer award and title.
Parents who would like to sell or trade redundant clothes and toys will be able to do this free of charge at the children’s flea market. The only thing you need is just your own, preferably folding chair and something like a picnic blanket or a mat to display the stuff.
Producers, distributors, institutions running antenatal classes, and other companies who offer the merchandise and services for pregnant women, kids and their parents have all been invited to participate in the Expo.
The theme of the event is ecology and health and well-being of pregnant women, babies, and small children.
During the lecture session it will be worth listening to presentations regarding, among other topics, the upbringing of happy children, vaccination, travelling with kids, first aid for babies. Willing mums can take part in yoga and Pilates classes (comfy clothes need to be worn). One of the lectures concerns antenatal classes for up-to-date grandmothers and grandfathers. Access to all lectures and presentations is free but it is a good idea to come early as the number of spaces is limited.
At 14:00 on 29 June, 2014 the winners of GDYNIA TOT photo competition will be announced and the contest awards will be presented.
Great Family Event GDYNIA TOT and I WILL BE MUM Expo will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 28-29 June, 2014, from 10:00 to 17:00 in GDYNIA ARENA at 8 Kazimierza Gorskiego Street in Gdynia.
Entry to all events and access to all attractions is free, due to the support of the City of Gdynia authorities
The event has been organised under the auspices of Wojciech Szczurek, the Mayor of Gdynia and has been made part of Gdynia for Families agenda. It is also part of International Day of Families celebration in Poland, held under the auspices of Bronislaw Komorowski, the President of the Republic of Poland, and the First Lady Anna Komorowska.
