Go Ahead Agency warmly invites you to Rocket Festival! In 2014 this new name will embrace former Rock In Arena and Gdynia Rock Fest! More information on Rocket Festival in Warsaw soon!

Rocket Festival events will be held on 22 February in Poznan (Hala Arena) and on 1 March in Gdynia (GDYNIA ARENA) and will feature: Coma, Luxtorpeda, Dawid Podsiadło, Bednarek, Farben Lehre, Krzysztof Zalewski, and Jarocin award winners – Lola Lynch (only in Poznan) and BixBit (only in Gdynia)!

Initiated by Dominik Witczak (guitar) and Tomasz Stasiak (percussion) rock group Coma was established in 1998 in Lodz. The band dedicated their first years to writing music and rehearsals, and finally – after some rearrangements of the band members and the manager replacement – they released a debut album “Pierwsze wyjście z mroku” (“First coming out from the darkness”) which went down very well in the music circles, ushering the group to the first league in the business. After subsequent albums, gigs on the biggest stages in Poland and a music experiment with Gdansk Symphonic Orchestra the band was back with their new release “Czerwony album” (“The red album”) in 2011 to collect very good reviews. Coma have commenced performing abroad, which was sealed in 2013 with an “Don’t Set Your Dogs On Me” album in English (with English lyrics).

Litza’s (Robert Friedrich’s) project – Luxtorpeda – evolved into one of the most important bands on the Polish rock stage. It also consists of Robert Drezek, Krzysztof Kmiecik, Tomasz Krzyzaniak, and Hans, known from Piec Dwa (Debiec) duet. After a successful debut album “Luxtorpeda” and an “Autystyczny” (“Autistic”) single, the band released their second album called “Robaki” (“Bugs”) which was also enthusiastically welcomed by fans and reviewers. Luxtorpeda is considered to be one of the best live performing groups in Poland. Currently they work on their third album which is scheduled to be released in 2014.

Dawid Podsiadlo debut album – “Comfort and Happiness” – was released in 2013 and three days after the premiere its whole circulation was sold out. Exquisite artists and musicians worked on this album – Bogdan Kondracki (earlier cooperating with such artists as Ania Dabrowska, Lukasz Zagrobelny, Monika Brodka and Novika) was a co-writer of music and a music producer and Karolina Kozak authored the lyrics of two Polish language songs. Dawid made a huge success, and a nearly sold out autumn tour gives the best testimony to his flourishing career.

Bednarek is a project led by charismatic Kamil Bednarek. The vocalist associated with Star Guard Muffin formation released “Jestem” (”I am…”) album under the name Bednarek, which included the hit single “Cisza” (“Silence”). Artists responsible for the recording claim that they have prepared material of an entirely different character and sound from SGM records. The new production is less entertaining, and more reflective instead. The recording involved Zion Train brass section, Gutek, Dawid Portasz, Staf (a gifted rapper from Brzesko who already contributed to the first SGM album), and Jelonek.

Another Rocket Festival star is a legend of Polish punk-rock – Farben Lehre. The band, initiated by Wojciech Wojda and Marek Knap, had their debut 25 years ago in Wladyslaw Jagiello Secondary School in Plock. Farben Lehre music was inspired by Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Bad Religion or The Clash. The artists are renowned for their energetic concerts where they show a combination of vibrant, sharp and joyful sounds with quite a dose of well-thought out, sincere lyrics presenting an appeal for communication with other people.

Krzysztof „Zalef” Zalewski is a composer, a vocalist, a lyrics writer and a multi-instrumentalist. He made himself known to Polish audience as the winner of the second series of the television show “Idol”. Having won the contest, he recorded his debut album “Pistolet” (“The Gun”) and then had a break in his solo career for a couple of years. In 2009 he supported Hey in a live performance promoting the group’s new album “Milosc! Uwaga! Ratunku! Pomocy!” („Love! Attention! Mayday! Help!”). In the subsequent years „Zalef” joined the ensemble of Brodka and a Poznan-based group Muchy. In the autumn of 2013 he released his second album “Zelig” which is completely different from his debut record, and went down very well in the music business circles.
