EHF 2013 Women’s Handball European Championship U17 is another top-rank youth event which will be held in GDYNIA Sports & Show Arena. In the year 2009 the Arena played host to Women’s Basketball European Championship U20, and three years later – CEV Men’s Volleyball Championship U20.
This time GDYNIA Sports & Show Arena will be the main venue where the young handball players will vie for the championship of the Old Continent. The games of Groups A and B, and the final round of the event will take place in Gdynia, whereas the teams seeded in Groups C and D will compete in AWFiS Show and Sports Hall in Gdansk.
GDYNIA Sports & Show Arena – as the main venue of the event – will naturally host the Polish national team who – in Group A – will rival against two teams from the Iberian Peninsula – Spain and Portugal – and Romania. Most probably many fans from Denmark, where handball is immensely popular, will also come to Gdynia; Denmark will play in Group B competing with France, The Netherlands, and Montenegro.
